Madres Kitchen is dedicated to fresh food, sustainability, and sourcing local.

Madres Kitchen is a woman owned and operated catering and events company located in Seattle, WA. Founders Heather Chitty, Kristen Cole, and Marci West started the business over a decade ago in hopes to break out of the nine-to-five grind and pursue a career they were truly passionate about. Fresh food, sustainable practices, sourcing local, and dedication to the community are some of the core values that Madres Kitchen was  built on, and continues to follow today.

We work closely with 21 Acres and the Puget Sound Food Hub to source seasonal and organic produce from local farms, E.C. Wilson to find top quality meat, and other food purveyors such as Ayako and Family JAM, That Brown Girl Cooks Hummus, Macrina Bakery, Beecher's Cheese. We pride ourselves on providing high quality food, while giving back to the local economy.

Aside from our high standard on delivering the best,  we are also very mindful about the impact our company makes on the environment and on the world around us. We are strategic about minimizing food waste, take garbage and recycling very seriously, and use compostable products as much as we can. We are also a certified Green Business by the City of Seattle. 

As Madres Kitchen grows we make it a priority of ours to give back to our community. We donate towards non-profit organizations, sponsor community events, and host pop up dinners where we raise money towards a good cause. We try our best to be as intentional as possible- serving fresh delicious food, providing heartfelt service, all while making a positive impact.

We work directly with Seattle Tilth and the Food Hub at 21 Acres for farm fresh produce. These relationships allow us to provide you with a wide range of seasonal fruits and veggies from Bow Hill Blueberries, 21 Acres Farm, Maltby Produce Markets/Marshland Orchards, Ralph's Greenhouse, Osprey Hill Farm, Seattle Tilth Farm Works and more. By staying away from the large produce companies and distributors, we not only give more to local farms, but also get to know the farmers personally.

Not only does this ensure that the food you get is the best quality, ripe when picked and sourced within an hour of our commercial kitchen in Seattle, but also means that we are supporting farmers and producers who work and live in our community.

Do you love the amazing, flavorful cashew-lemon sauce on our pasta and the fresh, zesty dressing on our salads? Yep, we made it. The chimichurri on your flank steak and the pear chutney on your risotto cake? We made that too! From fresh baked, organic scones at your breakfast meeting to the variety of salsas in our taco bar! All made in house and from scratch!

Committed to Compost

Our kitchen is always stocked with bins to separate compost from recycling from landfill waste. We take time to consider where our trim ends up, and are happy to supply compost bags and bins at your event. Going the disposable route? Sometimes the event you are hosting is more smoothly run with to-go packaging or service ware. Our to-go flatware, plates, napkins, cold cups.... are all compostable. We wouldn't have it any other way!



Our professional staff will make your event a smooth success - wedding, backstage, conferences, rehearsal dinners, birthday celebration, lunch meeting or ?! You name it, our team executes without a hitch from set-up to tear-down. Madres provides well-coordinated, heart-felt services including; customized menus, event staffing, planning and coordination, ordering your rentals, and more. We are able to prepare everything in our commercial kitchen and bring it to your event site, allowing you the flexibility of hosting your day in any facility you choose. We work with you to customize the look and feel you envision for your event! 


Our bartending / beverage packages range from client provided bar packages, hosted bars, and cash bars. We provide the bar supplies needed, licensed bartenders, liquor liability insurance, and customized bar menus. We consult with our clients on quantities, specialty cocktails, and work with local distilleries, breweries, and wineries. We also offer a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages such as our signature Rosemary Lemonade, Jamaica / Hibiscus Tea, an Agua Frescas Bar. 


Need a simple drop and go service for your business meeting or party? Madres has you covered. Free delivery within Seattle (minimum $250 order - subject to availability for delivery). Please call for availability outside the Seattle area. We include catering hot boxes, platters, serving utensils and set-up - with every order. Compostable plates, utensils, cups, etc. available. There are many aspects that go into making a memorable wedding and event, and food is one of the most important.  The food and service should reflect your style and be presented beautifully and professionally.  From customizing a special menu that reflects our client's taste and background, to walking through the entire day with you, Madres Kitchen is committed to making your event beautiful, and will have your guests raving.

Some of the many details we assist you with:

  • Customized menu planning and tasting - From the moment we meet with you, we start learning about what you like and what you love.  We will work with you to plan a wedding menu using the freshest seasonal ingredients and decide on a service style that reflects your taste and budget. We offer private and group tastings to help you find the perfect blend of flavors to be shared on you big day.

  • Staffing and vendor sourcing - We provide a professionally trained service staff including on-site chefs, servers, bartenders, and coordinators. We also have a huge network of professionals from music and entertainment, lighting and sounding, etc.

  • Event walk through - An important part of ensuring your event flows flawlessly is ensuring the caterer knows the entire sequence of events for your day. We will meet with you on-site to help layout your event and help you decide on the best set-up.  Our experienced coordinators can help you with any questions you may have.

  • Rental coordination - No need to contact the rental company for tables for food or accept delivery, we can take care of it. We make sure your rental list is complete and that you have everything you will need for a flawless day.

  • Event setup and site clean-up -  Putting the linens on tables? Repositioning centerpieces? Building a mountain of cupcakes? We’ve got you covered.  Once the guests have left, no need to worry about site clean-up.  We take care of packing up the rentals, ensuring that trash is gathered and walk-thru the space to ensure your venue is well taken care of. All leftover food can be packaged up and left for a late night snack. We will ollect all gifts, toasting glasses, guest book, and personal items after the wedding and return them to you.

  • Bar and beverages -  Our professional bartenders will set-up your bar with everything you need in order to have a beautiful, well-stocked bar.  Whether you provide your own alcohol or allow us to handle the details, we can provide all mixers, ice, soft beverages and garnishes. We can even create a special cocktail just for your event! We also provide a variety of refreshing non-alcoholic beverages as well as a hot beverage / coffee service. 

  • Event schedule flow - Our event supervisor will have a detailed timeline and schedule of events for your wedding and will ensure every detail is taken care of.  From ensuring the champagne is on ice for the toasts and the floor is cleared for the first dance, we’ll make sure your wedding flow is flawless.

  • Day of coordination - Coordinating all vendor delivery, walking you through your day. If you need a little more than catering, we are happy to offer our expertise to areas outside of catering, just let us know and we can make sure you’re taken care of. 

  • Event decor and styling - At Madres Kitchen we have a team of talented florists, stylists, and designers we work with who can help you with your wedding menu signage, floral centerpieces, developing a theme, event rentals, and more.



We are all in this together! Madres Kitchen proudly offers 10% off our normal food and beverage prices for all non-profit organizations. Your goal is raise money for a good cause, and we're here to help. For fundraisers and galas we provide customized menus of family style or plated dinners.

We offer fresh baked breakfast items and coffee by Cafe Appasianato- roasted here in the Pacific Northwest, both hot and cold lunch buffets to satisfy every craving, freshly prepared boxed lunches and sandwich platters, appetizer receptions and dinners for your board meetings and more formal events. We offer all day meeting and continuing education packages. 


Our custom menus will make your big day as unique as you are. Our heartfelt service and professional staff will take care of the rest so you and your guests can relax! We've got every last detail covered. Gluten free? No problem. Vegan and vegetarian options? Got it. Our menus are seasonal, local, and organic, and tailored to your liking. We can create something that reflects who you are, your background, and where you're from. We have different menu options depending on your your event's vibe, whether its buffet style, appetizers and small bites, or a formal sit down dinner.
